Yep, I am back at it folks and just in time for the holidays. I have a lot to catch you up on. I will post more about the little man and his cheeseburger in a later post. But for now…let me tell you how you can get 50 FREE Shutterfly cards.

Every since we got married, I have committed to sending annual holiday cards. I figure that once you have a family, it’s something you should do. It’s a great way to keep in contact with distant relatives and friends. I think that including photos in your Christmas cards are a MUST! Who wants to put a card out for display without a photo on it!?!?

Shutterfly is offering 50 free cards to bloggers, you can get more info here: http://bit.ly/sfly2010

I have been checking out their designs this year and I am quite impressed! I like that they have added some contemporary designs along with the traditional ones. There really is something for everyone! They even offer holiday thank you cards and Thanksgiving Cards. And for a fun gift idea, they offer calendars.

With so many color, size, layout, and paper options…I think I am going to have to wait until our holiday photo session is done to make my pick. They look to be running a sale right now, so if you already have your picture for this years card, go and get your holiday cards while the sale is still on!

not a fan….

March 30, 2010

Grammie and Grandpop Sowle have been in town for the last 10 days and the little man is finally starting to take to them and even letting them hold him. This is progress considering he has quite the separation anxiety these days, especially from me. My parents took him to meet the Easter Bunny today while I was at work. Let’s just say he wasn’t a fan!

birthday boy

February 19, 2010

I can’t believe the little man is 1 year old today! Words can’t begin to express the emotions I feel remembering the day of his birth. As all you fellow mothers know, having a child changes you forEVER in a way that no one can describe and that you can’t comprehend yourself until the moment you first see your child!

On Rowan’s birthday, this is my wish for him….

To live content with small means; to seek elegance rather than luxury; and refinement rather than fashion; to be worthy, not respectable; and wealthy, not rich; to study hard, think quietly, talk gently, act frankly…to listen to stars and buds, to babes and sages, with open heart; await occasions, hurry never…this …is my symphony.” – William Henry Channing

Here are some of my favorite pictures from that day.

There are endless crafts that I am dying to try…even though I know I don’t have the patience for them. But this one by Jill from Homemade by Jill really makes me want to run out and buy a sewing machine! The little man would love this!

February 16, 2010

It’s a good thing I don’t have a daughter (yet), because I would go broke on swim apparel alone. Baby Gap has THE cutest baby girl swimwear! I want to buy one just to look at it!
